PowerEgg is designed to detect and/or disconnect 110 to 230V AC mains voltage. The controlling and controlled circuits are electrically isolated. Low-voltage, closing contacts are used for detection indication and output control.
PowerEgg is a "pass-through mains outlet" with two IEC-320 connectors – a plug (C14) at the input, and a socket (C13) at the output.
PowerEgg combines two functions in a single device:
Applications
- Alarm activation upon supply voltage / phase failure
- Voltage monitoring at UPS input/output
- Remote server restart
- Switching on additional cooling or ventilation
- Partial disconnection of the load when running on battery power
Basic features
- DETECTOR: Detects 110 to 230V AC mains voltage
- Power failure indicated with a relay contact
- Output contact is electrically isolated
- CONTROL: Controlled output
- Pass-through mode when the control voltage / contact is disconnected (Power output = Power Input)
- Control input is electrically isolated
- Two options of controlling the output:
- Control voltage 3 to 12V, or
- Low-voltage, closing contact
