Sensor 60V 1W-UNI v2:
Measuring voltage from 0 to 60V DC (-48V DC)

Electrically isolated voltage sensor for up to 60VDC with 1Wire-UNI output. Typical applications include measuring voltage at industrial sensors (0-10V) or battery voltage. Frequently used for -48 volt power supply measurement in telecommunications (-48V standard). Voltage can be monitored over LAN (Poseidon2) or GSM (Ares).

Signal converter for DC voltage measurement (up to 60V DC) with conversion to the 1-Wire UNI bus (RJ11). Typically used as a power or battery voltage sensor in telco applications (-48V standard). Also useful for voltage sensing at the output of a 0-10V industrial transducer, including unit conversion.

The voltage sensor can be connected to Poseidon2 or Ares units. The values can be shared over LAN or GSM.
When the voltage is out of a specified range, e-mail or SMS is sent. Can be connected to remote monitoring systems that are based on SNMP or Modbus/TCP.

  • Electrically isolated input. Negative voltages from 0 to –60VDC can be also measured.
  • High accuracy (can be used for 0–10V, too).
  • Sensors can be daisy-chained (two RJ11 connectors).
  • Powered from the 1-Wire UNI bus (RJ11) or from an external power adapter.

Remote -48V DC voltage monitoring over a LAN (SNMP)

  • 60V voltage sensor measures voltage from a DC UPS (48VDC rated voltage).
  • DC voltage sensor is connected to a Poseidon2 3266 remote monitoring LAN unit over 1-Wire UNI (RJ11) bus.
  • Sensor 60V 1W-UNI v2 is powered from the 1-Wire UNI (RJ11) bus. Additional sensors can be daisy-chained to this sensor.
  • The power to the "Sensor 60V 1W-UNI v2" can be boosted with an external 5V power adapter.
     
  • Poseidon2 3266 displays the external voltage readings in its web interface.
  • Poseidon2 3266 sends an e-mail or a text message (SMS) when the voltage is outside of a specified "SafeRange".
  • Poseidon2 3266 shares data over the LAN using SNMP, XML (http) and Modbus/TCP.
  • Poseidon2 3266 can be connected to the SensDesk.com online portal.
  • Sensor readings can be displayed using an Android or iOS (Apple) app for tablets or mobile phones.

GSM monitoring of current and voltage in a 48VDC system

  • The upper 60V voltage sensor measures voltage from a DC UPS (48VDC rated voltage).
  • The lower sensor measures voltage at a current sensing resistor. This voltage is proportional to the current that passes through the resistor.
  • The "Sensor 60V 1W-UNI v2" sensors are daisy-chained and connected to the Ares unit over the 1-Wire UNI bus (RJ11) bus.
  • The internal Ares battery provides back-up power to both sensors.
     
  • Ares 12 is a GSM/GPRS unit for remote measurement and monitoring.
  • Ares 12 sends an e-mail or a text message (SMS) when the voltage and/or current is outside of a specified "SafeRange".
  • The DC current sensor can be configured to convert the reading to amps [A].
     
  • Ares 12 can be connected to the SensDesk.com online portal.
  • Sensor readings can be displayed using an Android or iOS (Apple) app for tablets or mobile phones.
