What is the difference between RS-485 and 1-Wire sensors

>The difference is in the connection mode and in the communication protocol. The RS-485 bus is designed for industrial environments and allows sensors connection up to 1200 meters of total length. In addition, bus is very stable and advantageous for long lines.

On the other hand, Daisy Chain topology has to be strictly adhered and manually set the address of the sensors in order to avoid collisions on the bus. These drawbacks for 1-Wire (1-Wire UNI) sensors are eliminated.
